[The video clicks on, showing an uncertain eye and not much else, because the video is held much too close. The camera flips and jostles a few times, before it's held back enough to see a young boy. He looks much younger than he really is, rake thin in a very unhealthy way, but still more than skin and bones. He's pale, and he's scared. When he speaks, it's all in German; which, usefully, is the only language he knows.] H-hallo? [Tosh has already assured him that Herr Doktor is not around and there won't be any tests of any kind today but...he isn't entirely convinced and is more than a little nervous to direct more attention to himself. So he's hesitant, but tentatively giving into some curiosity?] Is this one of the SS buildings? [He pans the camera around the room quickly; partially visible, as he tries to gesture with his other hand, is the silver helmet he holds.] I have never been here before. [And he heads to a couch, looking uncomfortable, but...maybe a little pleased. This is more comfort than he's known in - well, ever. He manages a little smile, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes, and falters at the edges.] It's very nice. Thank you for letting me stay here. [His attention drops back to the helmet, now in his lap, and he holds it up for the camera after a moment - the look on his face says he probably shouldn't play with it and he's sorry, but he's drawn to it nonetheless.] Does this belong to someone? (OOC: And tags will come from einzweidrei because I'm a bad person. :c Blanket content warning, again, for possibly in depth discussion of the Holocaust.]

Du auch. [And he smiles, looking between them both and picking up bits of the conversation and...trying something in English. Sort of.]

Warum...why no Allen?

Allen's not so bad. [He'd rather be called Allen than Francis, tbh. :c]

[ The boy smiles and shrugs.]

That it may, I just never cared for it. Mum always calls me Francis anyway. [ He looked to both boys on the feed and smiled yet again, a happy one he was.] We should play somethin' together, yeah?

Play? [Erik can't remember the last time he played with children, so he glances between Francis and Charles. How. Do you play. B(]

[Lol don't ask him, it's a relatively foreign concept to a kid who doesn't exactly get a lot of attention at home too. B(

But hey, Francis is apparently less developmentally damaged in this arena than either of them so all hope is not lost.]

[ Yeah, Francis didn't get messed up till he turned 21.

Looking to Erik a moment seeming to be a little more facinated with the boy that seems lost.]

I bet a game o' tag or Hide 'n Seek would be fun. Nothin' too rough since I'm sure the adult's would be mighty upset if any o' us got hurt. We could go play in that CES place where the have the park?

Hide'n seek, [He repeats slowly, and though he isn't exactly sure what he's saying, he's curious. So he looks to Charles to make a decision, since keeping up with this is tough.]

[Charles takes a deep breath and puts his hand to his temple, carefully sending over images and information about hide and seek to Erik to clarify what the other boy had meant. He's not wearing himself out, really, but it is sort of taking an effort translating everything, and sometimes the gesture helped make it easier to use his powers.

That done, he lowers his hand again and nods.]

Alright. Where's the CES?

It's up on the deck! I'm on the 6th floor so it might take me a bit o' time but I'll be up there directly!

[ He spoke smiling all the same.] I'll see you both right?

[Erik made a quiet 'ah' sound as Charles explained - he'd played that before, and he'd watched others play after he'd been expelled. So he nods, and smiles, and tries a few more words in English.]

Right!

[Charles grins, pleased that he's apparently helping his friend learn English, and actually sort of looking forward to playing, even if a few months ago, he might have said he was too old for hide and seek. Having a younger sister around helped make that seem less ridiculous now.]
