How long have you been tolerating it?

That depends on your definition of the word 'tolerate'.

What's your definition?

To put up with an unpleasant thing without actively doing anything to stop it. In which case...let's see. I would not consider taking over a tower in the middle of a city and ensuring that no one could get inside and survive without my express permission tolerating it, nor would I say that attempting to become a god and nearly killing everyone in the process was tolerating it. And here I have not tolerated it, seeing as I have poisoned the only person to cross me to an extent that I felt it worth my time.

However, prior to that my childhood was spent tolerating it, and I even showed an incredible display of tolerance when I simply left a city where I nearly was burnt at the stake when I was nineteen instead of attempting to kill everyone responsible, though that was primarily because I didn't have the level of power I do now. And for the six years after that I begrudgingly tolerated it, I suppose. I wasn't pleasant toward others, but I did nothing in regards to their constant suspicion and dislike.

So that would make it twenty five years.

[Okay, tried to become a god, amassing egoist points like nobody's business there, Raist.]

Then what have you done to escape?

[Raistlin wants all the egoist points.]

I did attempt to figure out where the Admiral was, to no avail. I also purchased a scroll of teleportation in port as well as a knife, but both were confiscated upon my return. In truth, though, escape would not be satisfactory. I'd prefer to take the Admiral's place and have a ship that can travel through both time and space under my own command.

High goals. Do you have a plan to achieve them?

I'm working that part out currently.

Have you made any progress?

No.

Then perhaps its time to try another approach.

Yes: do something different.

One I couldn't figure out on my own.

...I wasn't expecting that.

In that case if you do come up with some sort of plan, I would be glad to be a part of it, assuming the plan is better than simply lighting a bunch of things on fire hoping to draw the Admiral out before we all burn to death.

I assure you, that will not be my plan.
